Had planned to go the gym today, but I felt like a bit of variety and wanted to throw some weight around, so I trained at home with one of my kettlebells. It was tough! I’ve certainly lost a bit of the strength and stamina I had earlier in the year when I was doing kettlebell circuits once or twice a week.

Not as sore as I expected to be today, given how hard I found yesterday’s session. I have been logging a lot of desk time though, so today’s session was more about recovery and mobility.

I felt good throughout today’s session; feeling strong and up for the challenge. Pleased that most of the soreness from Monday’s session was gone, so I was able to push myself a little bit with the loads. Still some lingering soreness from Monday’s workout, but I’m happy about that because I wanted to push myself and get a sense for my load limits. Also good because the soreness was in the right areas - hamstrings, lower glutes, upper back, upper arms.

Ha I know the feeling! Today was my last day in the office for the year, and the first thing I did at the gym tonight was some self-massage all around my shoulders and stretches for my neck. Doing a PhD is the worst for your posture. True facts.
